Third cinemagraphic journal piece, shot January 16, 2016, chronicling one cold day at the Royal Gorge Bridge.

Second cinemagraphic journal piece, shot November 7, 2015. One of the challenges of shooting a cinema journal is that it’s completely candid. All of the footage captured is 100% natural without any kind of scene blocking, which requires an eye for unique and interesting subjects to capture (no one in this video is acquainted to me in any way). In this second iteration, the use of contrasting depths of field was aimed to emphasize the awe inspiring launch of the lanterns.

First attempt at a cinemagraphic journal piece, shot September 6 and 7, 2015. The goal of this pet project is to explore and practice cinematography and editing techniques to tell of a simple story with images and music only. It's the first attempt, and there are obvious focus and zoom crudities, but they serve as reference points to demonstrate learned progress relative to later videos.
